In 2011, Greg Renfrew the founder of Beautycounter learned that the US only bans 30 toxic and harmful  ingredients in the US  & Canada only bans just over 600 from our personal-care products. (For context, the EU bans 1,400.) Gregg said she had never considered that the products she used on herself and her kids might not be safe. That’s what drove Gregg to start Beautycounter.  She set out to transform the beauty industry by creating clean, high-performing skin care and makeup—while fighting to change the laws that control what can and cannot be used in products, so that everyone has access to safer beauty.

In 2016 I Learned about Beautycounter, Greg Renfrew & Lindsay Dahl and there mission to change the beauty industry. I myself was going through fertility treatments and was already conscious about eliminating toxic products from my personal care products. My background is an oncology Aesthetician so I was already educated on this topic but beauty counter Sean more light on the struggle to have policymakers change the laws that could enforce cleaner ingredients. I was intrigued by the way that this company was leading the change and the way they were doing it. I knew I wanted to be a part of this evolution on the beauty industry.

I signed up as a consultant during the time I was building the Beauty Barn spa. My journey with this company has been one that’s transformed my outlook in the cosmetic industry. My willingness to take on this venture and add a bonus to purchase products at a discounted rate and create a second income during a time when my spa business was in construction & development, what a wonderful decision this was. Not only did I have cleaner and safer products but it also lead me on a path of lobbying for better beauty legislation with Congress and parliament members being asked to join Beautycounter and Lindsay Dahl to attend multiple meetings with members in Washington DC to discussing the importance of cleaner and safer products in relation to immune compromise individuals.

The beauty counter is set up as a web shopping portal and is not available to purchase in the spa. By clicking this link you can shop direct with contactless shopping from the comfort of your own home and have the products delivered right to your doorstep. Beautycounter is also a B-corp company.

When you purchase a product through Beautycounter you’re not only making a healthier choice for yourself and your loved ones but you’re also helping us make a change of the bigger picture, in our industry by using your dollars for good.
